Associate, Business Development

Firehouse is seeking a full-time Associate to join the firm’s business development team. This position will be responsible for managing and enhancing the firm’s business development processes. Candidates for this position should excel in a collaborative, fun, and fast-paced environment, are highly motivated, and demonstrate strategic planning and problem-solving skills. This position will be based out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Working directly with Firehouse’s business development and leadership teams, manage the firm’s process for lead identification, prospecting, pitching, and landing new business opportunities
• Utilizing the firm’s CRM, track new business opportunities, pitches, sales, and develop metric reports
• Facilitate the firm’s process for creating briefing documents, pitch materials, and proposals
• Track political, business, and world news to help identify prospecting opportunities
• Manage the firm’s social media platforms
• Develop the firm’s marketing materials, including targeted emails, blogs, client case studies, social media posts, and website content.
• Schedule internal team business development brainstorm and preparation discussions and track and drive the execution of key action items from these meetings
• Assist in organizing the firm’s business development and marketing events

Preferred Requirements
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a client servicing, marketing, or business development role. Preferably, prior experience working for a public affairs firm, political campaign, or advocacy organization
• Experience drafting marketing content, including targeted emails, blogs, and social media posts.
• Background managing social media and website platforms
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
• Strong emotional intelligence and self-awareness
• Excel in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems
• Strong track record of multitasking and prioritizing assignments
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with team members
• Understand and value the importance of attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience streamlining and improving processes
• Ability to produce memos and presentations
• Self-starter
• Ability to operate Office Suite and video conferencing platforms, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google platforms
