Firehouse Adds 6

October 13, 2021

As we start our 6th year as a firm, we’re extremely proud to announce 6 new additions to the Firehouse Team.

As first reported in POLITICO Influence:

Jen Farber joins Firehouse as Managing Director, having previously led policy advocacy campaigns at Purple Strategies and GMMB. In addition, Farber brings Democratic presidential campaign experience to the team, having worked for Barack Obama, John Kerry, and Howard Dean.

Additionally, Firehouse added two Vice Presidents:

Natalie Johnson joins Firehouse after serving as Communications Director for Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Press Secretary for Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ).

Mari Johnson joins Firehouse having done public affairs consulting for Fortune 500 companies and having served as Deputy Communications Director for Republican Main Street Partnership.

In addition, Firehouse added new Associates to support the day-to-day operations of our teams:

  • Sarah Rapier worked as a press aide for Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) and as a policy fellow at the Cato Institute.
  • Ellie Bowen interned at a global communications consultancy.
  • Matthew Schantin worked in issue advocacy at Environment New Jersey and worked on numerous Democratic campaigns.

Moving on up. Firehouse is also excited to announce 5 well-deserved promotions within our team:

Kate Brown is now Firehouse’s Political Director, where she’ll manage grassroots and grasstops engagements. Sarah Gallagher, who previously held the position of Project Director, is joining Kate as Deputy Political Director.

Two team members who have been with Firehouse longer than almost anyone, Sam Azzarelli and Jennifer Krantz, will now lead their own teams in the role as Senior Vice President, after having previously served as Vice Presidents and Project Directors at Firehouse. Scott Bembenek is also rising to the rank of Vice President after having worked as a Project Director and Senior Associate.
