Firehouse Expands Capabilities with Acquisition of Scarlet Oak Strategies
January 24, 2023
We’re excited to announce that Firehouse Strategies has acquired Scarlet Oak Strategies, the best-in-class public affairs firm founded by former Democratic Governors Association (DGA) political director Raymond Glendening. Scarlet Oak’s proprietary network of more than 1,200 political operatives will immediately strengthen Firehouse’s bipartisan capabilities in every state capitol and Congressional district.
We’ve had the pleasure to partner with Scarlet Oak on several projects, and their ability to build constituencies and execute grasstops and grassroots campaigns is second to none. And we’re not the only ones impressed: Their client roster includes some of the biggest brands and biggest public affairs campaigns in the country.
In addition to gaining access to Scarlet Oak’s unique capabilities, we’re excited that as part of this acquisition, two of Scarlet Oak’s senior leaders will be joining the Firehouse team:
Raymond Glendening will become a partner at Firehouse Strategies. Prior to founding and running Scarlet Oak, Raymond worked on several Democratic presidential and gubernatorial campaigns, and served as the political director of the Democratic Governors Association (DGA).
Brian Doory will join Firehouse as a managing director. Currently a managing director at Scarlet Oak, Brian has advised campaigns internationally, across the U.S., and in Maryland at every level. Among many others, he has worked for Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Sen. Tom Daschle (D-SD), Gov. Jon Corzine (D-NJ), Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD), and Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D-IL).
We founded Firehouse Strategies in 2016 to run authentic persuasion campaigns for corporate clients. The addition of Scarlet Oak will help us build on the success of our first 6 years and achieve even more wins.
