William Bensur

William joined Firehouse Strategies following seven and a half years as a communicator for Republican members of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. He started his career on Capitol Hill working for former U.S. Congressman Charlie Dent (R-PA) and former U.S. Congressman John Katko (R-NY) before leading the communications team for U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN).

Most recently, William served as press secretary for U.S. Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS). By deploying various communications strategies, William established Senator Marshall as a prominent voice on issues related to agriculture, health care, border security, and the economy. William provided messaging guidance and strategic support to Senator Marshall on renewing the Farm Bill, reforming the federal budget process, and accountability for various national security failures. He also played a key role in driving state engagement through various direct outreach efforts.

William is a Penn State University graduate with a B.A. in Economics.
